Industrial Laboratories (IL) is an independent third party analytical laboratory that specializes in Food and Drug analysis. IL specializes in analytical chemistry applications including but not limited to Nutritional Labeling, Microbiological testing, dietary supplement screening, label claim verification, drug analysis in performance sports animals and sports supplements, methamphetamine detection, and potability in drinking water samples.

Their 60 year experience has allowed them to work with a large number of different analytes, from herbal compounds, to vitamins, to performance enhancing pharmaceuticals. These have been tested for in a large number of sample matrices, from tablets and pills, to functional foods, and even in urine and blood from animals. Industrial Laboratories provides state of the art analysis using cutting edge technologies. Our facility utilizes a number of different testing platforms and instrumentation so that, when possible, we may offer a variety of testing options and price points for clients.

Industrial Laboratories believes in human interaction. Clients will work directly with our Client Service representatives and Sales Staff and, if necessary, our laboratory directors to ensure their testing needs and inquiries are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Our 7500 square foot facility is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Wheat Ridge is a short 15 minute drive west of Downtown Denver, and easily accessible via Interstate 70.

In an effort to promote quality and reliability, Industrial Laboratories is a member of various professional organizations such as Association of Analytical Chemists (AOAC) and the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT). We regularly participate in a number of different quality programs, to ensure the accuracy of our analyses, provided by such groups as, the American Proficiency Institute (API) and Environmental Resource Associates (ERA). Several of our methods have been accredited to ISO 17025: 2005 standards by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). 
 

Quality Assurance

The Industrial Laboratories (IL) employs a rigorous internal Quality Assurance and Quality Control program. IL has an independent quality assurance/quality control staff dedicated to ensuring the accuracy of data and the implementation of quality standards throughout the laboratory. Before its release all data is reviewed and approved by the quality department. All data at Industrial Laboratories is reviewed by a second set of independent eyes before it is distributed to the client. IL is also an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. Other facets of the Industrial Laboratories QA/QC program include:

A document system that contains written documentation for all test procedures, technical procedures, instrument operating procedures, and department policy.

Quality Control Samples included in each analytical batch as a requirement of IL standard operating procedures.

When possible the use methods or modifications of published methods by AOAC, AOCS, USP or other industry accepted journals/compendiums. Reference materials and standards are purchased from qualified reputable suppliers.

Trained laboratory personnel perform analysis and cross-trained staff assists when necessary.

Instrument Operating Procedures contain sections covering both routine and non-routine maintenance. All equipment is calibrated prior to each run, after every 10-20 samples and at the end of the run.

An Out-of-Specification procedure in the event that results do not meet specifications (claims) provided by the client.

ISO 17025 Accreditation IL is an independent laboratory accredited by the American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) according to International Standards Organization 17025 (ISO 17025) requirements. This ISO accreditation is pinnacle of laboratory accreditation processes currently available for independent testing labs. This rigorous quality program requires proficiency exam participation, regular quality control standards, and operating procedures amongst other things.
